On April 9, 2021, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and Johns Hopkins University 21st Century Cities Initiative hosted a discussion on broadband infrastructure and access in urban and rural Maryland. The lack of access to quality broadband and the disparities across communities is an ongoing issue that has been exacerbated by the pandemic. Mary Miller, Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins University’s 21st Century Cities Initiative, moderated a discussion with the following speakers:
