Ben Hobbs’ projects seek to improve the efficiency of the electric utility industry. He uses tools such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and economics to provide tools and policy recommendations for a range of issues, from helping operators generate the right amount of power each day, to studying how power generation trends, climate change, and public policy interact to affect air quality.
