Interim Chair and Professor, Transportation & Urban Infrastructure Studies, Morgan State University

Celeste Chavis’ research focuses on implementing safe, equitable, accessible, and sustainable transportation systems that encompass transit, cars, bikes and more. She designs roadways that work for all users and evaluates system performance. Recent work has focused on grocery store access, public transit operations, pedestrian and bicycle safety, and driver behavior.
