Elliot Foust

Ph.D. student, Meteorology, Penn State University

Eliott Foust is a Ph.D. student in meteorology who focuses on modeling urban climates. His work with BSEC aims to improve how weather and climate models represent urban features like buildings, parks, and parking lots, and to determine how these improvements help the models better predict heat stress within the city. This will allow the models to become more useful tools for supporting the development of equitable climate adaptation and mitigation strategies.
