Ken Davis

Professor, Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, Penn State University

Ken Davis studies the atmospheric boundary layer – the layer of air that starts at the earth’s surface. With BSEC, he and his group will measure the exchanges of heat, moisture, and radiation and momentum between the air and urban landscapes. The data will be used to test and improve numerical models of the atmosphere, which in turn will improve our understanding of how air quality, climate, and the water cycle will respond to strategies such as greening and white roofs.
