Rahman Azari

Associate Professor, Architecture, Penn State University

Rahman Azari’s research can help architects, urban planners, and policymakers develop cities that minimize carbon emissions. He assesses and studies the energy use and life cycle environmental impacts of buildings and cities to identify design pathways to mitigate carbon emissions of built environments. His research also involves designing and evaluating building skin solutions that would integrate energy harvesting technologies such as electrochemical and thermoelectric-based systems.
