Tieyuan Zhu develops methods to improve the imaging of geologic structures using ground-penetrating radar and earthquake monitoring equipment. The methods he develops are used to investigate issues such as carbon sequestration and hazards such as mudslides and earthquakes that result from normal geologic processes.
